Hope

Loneliness crawls under my skin,

Emptiness is all that I feel within.

Life seems to be fading away

As darkness consumes me everyday.

Hiding behind this smiling mask

Are the flowing tears of a life gone past.

The past is gone, the years flown by 

The choices made, I've questioned why.

I can't turn back the hands of time,

I live each day pretending I'm fine,

While deep inside this heart of mine

I know there'll be more mountains to climb.

Life is never an easy road,

At times we're burdened with heavy loads,

Struggling throughout in our own way

While looking forward to brighter days.

Hope is never lost in your heart,

Each day is a chance for a fresh start.

Hold on to the inner strength within

And you will make it through anything.
