Tunisian Crochet Afghan

Hello friends! 

 I can't believe Autumn will be here so soon... it's already

starting to get rainy again. Soon the leaves will change their colors

and fall to the ground... such a lovely sight... and a good time to

start working on a new afghan! I started this rather sturdy and

dense crochet work to use up some bits and pieces of left over 

yarn from previous projects. As I was happily crocheting, I noticed

that the blues didn't match! Oh well, I just figured this out after 

many rows of crocheting and didn't want to unwind it all...so I 

am just continuing on with the project, I'm not too sure how it

will turn out, but it will be warm and heavy! Next time I will definitely

use a softer yarn when I use this stitch. Hopefully it will soften up

once I wash it! It's not too terribly bad, I suppose... lol.

Forever Man - A Poetry Video

This is a new poem I wrote this morning... I've been

putting the video together and didn't quite have a poem

that fit it... I decided to write a new one and found the

perfect music (mood) to accompany the visuals.

Crochet Frenzy

I've been on a "crochet frenzy" for the past 2 weeks. 

I made a few bags (shopping and /or small handbags)

 and cotton dish rags, as you can see here. I will have to 

get my Etsy Shop up again sometime after I make some

more new items to list. I think some sewing projects

are in order soon... :) Any ideas?

Home Made Big Hunk Candy or "Little Hunks"

I apologize for the long delay in posting... I have

a lot to catch up on... in cooking, baking, crafting,

crochet and more... enjoy!

|Big Hunk candy bars or so yummy and being from 

California, were a favorite treat since my childhood.

To my dismay, they are not sold here in Alberta

and many people have no idea what 

they are or what they are missing!

I have such a sweet tooth but try not to make too

many treats, as they are too resisting to me!! LOL

I haven't had a Big Hunk since I was last in 

California, back in 2006. So of course, I had

a craving for one...after looking on the internet

for a "copy cat" recipe...I found one!! I 

decided to give it a try and was very pleased

to finally satisfy my craving! These are so yummy!

Next time I will chill the candy before slicing into

pieces and wrapping in wax paper... they are 

too sticky otherwise and are a trouble to unwrap

without the paper sticking to them. 

The Big Hunk candy bar is sold in a large and

long piece wrapped in a non stick wrapper... 

thus the name... I decided to make them into

bite size pieces... mmmmm good! :)
