Angels

I really love the paintings in this era of art.
I've been a fan of it since I was a child.
I just wanted to share this collage with you.

Today is cookie baking day here... my
son will be sharing with his class tomorrow,
so I better get busy!!! :)
Enjoy your day and stay blessed.
May angels watch over you always
and keep you safe...

Happy Thursday!

Stars Shining Bright - A poem

Stars Shining Bright

Our Father will open His heavenly gates
Embracing each beautiful soul that awaits
Tears gently falling from soft clouds above
Surrounding each precious angel with love
Holding them close in His loving arms
Keeping them safe from any more harm
Until the day arrives when families reunite once again
Loving memories shall be cherished in our hearts until then
You are loved by the world and you will never be forgotten.

May all precious angels rest in peace and keep
their families comforted with their loving hearts,
beautiful souls, and the stars shining bright as their smiles.

Pizza!

Pizza night!
Fresh dough, tomatoes, basil, parmesan, mozzarella
garlic and herbs... turned out good, except for the
upside down pics! ;)

My dream machine is ready for cookie dough
tomorrow!! :) Christmas is soon!

Update & Pics

Hello friends! I'm sorry I've been a bit
quiet lately, many things on my mind.
Sending out love, prayers and deepest
sympathy to Connecticut families and their
loved ones. I've been missing my family,
my ex boyfriend and I've just been very sad and
depressed, trying to get the spirit of Christmas
going around here. So today, I put some
more ornaments on the tree, I'm playing Christmas music
and making some home made pizza for dinner.
I may just make some cookie dough today as well!
I was glued to the tv the past 3 days and just
crying my heart out, so today the tv is off, unless
 it's a Christmas show! :)

Below are some things I've been working on...
I've been learning some Tunisian Crochet and
having a bit of fun with that...

Sending love to all... have a wonderful new
week ahead. Blessings

Above is a Tunisian Crochet stitch something
or other... perhaps a table runner? The yarn isn't
too soft, but I like the way the variegated yarn
looks in this...I'll have to go through my yarn stash
and find some softer variegated yarn... maybe a baby
sweater would be nice with this stitch!

Above is a hand knit chunky scarf
I have started using stockinette stitch
and bulky brushed acrylic yarn.

Above right and below right
is another Tunisian Crochet stitch,
this one is made with a very soft
teal colored mohair and acrylic blend
yarn...so snuggly! I love it!
I'm not finished with any of these
projects yet... just working on them
all a little at a time.

Below is the poor Christmas tree,
barren with no gifts... I put more
decorations on it today to liven it
up... I tried to get my son enthused
about decorating but he's put it
off for a week... so it's up to Mom.

Below is a stocking I made many years ago
in California... I have a few with different fabrics.
These are all lined so they are nice inside and out!

Especially when filled with Chocolate!! lol

I had to put some of my polar bears under
the tree in a wagon... they look cozy!
Frosty has to stay out, he may melt!

Fibre optic trees are really pretty... I like
the fact that I don't have to mess with those
little strings of lights and the tree
looks pretty with or without ornaments!

I have so much more Christmas stuff downstairs,
but I think the tree looks festive enough...

Below are a nice snowman and tree made
out of wood from my youngest son when he was in
pre-school...he's a crafty guy too!

That's all folks! Enjoy the new week ahead...
Love and blessings to all.

Innocence Lost

Innocence Lost

Innocence lost with the flash of a moment
Screams in the shadows of evil unleashed
Where does this madness awaken from
What is the world to do
Innocent victims, children, families
Left broken, wondering why
How can something so awful  happen
In one moment... one flash
Terrifying our young
Their trust is gone
Innocence lost can't be undone.
Is there still hope in this evil madness
How do we provide a safe place for our children
People stop... think... love... don't hate.
Don't destroy, don't tarnish their innocence
With the battles you fight within your own soul
Leave our children to stay strong and bold
Not hidden in the shadows of evil
Terrified of dying... innocently crying
Make this world a place of comfort
A place of love
A place where our children feel safe.

Angel Prayer

A short video clip I made today. So many tragedies
happen every day. What has this world come to?
The lives of innocent children cut short in an instant.
These devastating events must stop!!
My love, thoughts, prayers, sympathy and
condolences to all the families affected by this
horrific tragedy. May God give you the strength
to get through this heartbreak.

Show your love, not your hate...
hug and hold on tight to those you love,
tell them your feelings, don't ever
hesitate to show your love... we all need it.
God bless everyone... always.

Blog Update

Today I have deleted my other two blogs since I am
never posting on them and mainly just post to this one.
Thank you to all that have stayed with me here and for your
friendship and support in my work. I appreciate you one and all!

Lately I haven't been posting too much. I guess I have run
out of energy and drive to do things... but I will get this back.
Today I am working on a beautiful mohair blend scarf.
The yarn is a delight to work with...it's so soft and I happen
to love the color which is teal... one of my favorites!
I'm doing the scarf in a Tunisian crochet which is
something I've been learning the past few weeks. I
really love the stitch it creates... it looks woven on
one side and all purl stitches on the opposite side.
Very cool!

Have a beautiful weekend and be safe.
