Finally finished!

The Swedish Limpa went limp... lol. Well, it must be the
elevation here but at least it came out better than last time! ;)
I think it has to do with the shaping of the loaves...my
mom's was perfect every time. I'll have to call her for a tip
on  her high loaves... maybe it's the California air. I know
it makes a great Sourdough!!! :) It tastes good, limpa or limp! :)

It's rising! Wish the sun was! :)

The Limpa is coming along nice... below is after the second rise...

Above the loaves are shaped and on their last rise for an hour.
Then it's bake and eat! Mmmmmm :)  After a pic of course.;)
It's another rainy day here in Alberta... good weather for baking.

Swedish Limpa Bread

Swedish Limpa is one of my very favorite breads
besides Sourdough of course! :)  The ingredients
are pictured below... dark rye, white flour, sugar,
molasses, salt, yeast, warm water and grated orange
rind.  The KitchenAid mixer makes it a snap to make.

Above is the dough, ready for the first rise! :)
This will make 2 round loaves of scrumptious bread.
