Thursday Thoughts of Love

What a beautiful day today, still cold and snow on the
ground, yet it's soooo wonderfully sunny!! Makes the
snow look like a sea of diamonds.

Spring is coming soon and thoughts of love and warmth
fill the air, as it seems to build up some hope for things
to blossom, refresh, grow and last.
What a beautiful season!

Love is such a beautiful thing to have in our lives.
Everyone wishes for a special, deep and
shared love with someone you truly connect
with. Sometimes we make many mistakes,
but it will eventually lead to a true love,
one that seems as if it's heaven sent. Two
souls meeting and connecting in a heartbeat.
The feelings of comfort, joy, laughter, happiness,
hope, dreams and most of all LOVE...
what a wonderful feeling. So spring-like...
so happy, beautiful, blossoming, and
precious...something delicate as the
newly formed buds of Spring.

Three Little Words

Love came out of nowhere when I least expected
From the instant we met I felt so connected
You came along sweetly to capture my heart
From that moment on, I never wished to part
As if by magic or sent from heaven above
My heart and soul were captured in an undying love
Love like this, so beautiful and precious is rare
Something made of hopes, dreams and many night's of prayer
As if years have passed by, our conversations fly
Sharing thoughts and emotions, I no longer cry
Loving and laughing into the wee hours of night
Each heart surrounded by a brilliance of light
Glowing with a true love's passion and fire
Fulfilling the need of each hidden desire
A love that feels comfortable and so right from the start
With this love that we share, nothing can ever tear us apart
A love like this, so beautiful and true
Was God's will and intention for me and you.
This poem was written, just for you,
With three little words to say that "I love you"

Three Little Words - A Poetry Video

Here is a brand new poem and video. I will be uploading
a much better quality video by tomorrow. This is more of
a rough draft. YouTube was taking over 6 hours for the
.avi file... this is a .wmv file, quicker, but lacks quality.

I hope you enjoy this love poetry video and have
a beautiful evening and Wednesday!

This is called "Three Little Words"

Wednesday greetings!

Hello friends!! Happy Wednesday... these days seem
to be flying by so quickly! We had a little snowfall last
night, here in Alberta, but the sunshine today is melting
all that fell in the evening. It looks so pretty, like
diamonds, brilliant and sparkly! :)

Below are links to my books and crafts... you're welcome to
share these links with your friends and family. I appreciate
all of you for your support in my arts.

Have a beautiful Wednesday with much love, Debra

Flowers!

Happy Sunday, friends. I hope your day is a
beautiful one. Today we have sunshine in
Alberta, after last evening's snow fall. Spring
is definitely coming soon... and I can't wait!

I'm making a series of floral art, I've been using
many photos and mixing them together to make
the bouquets. Below are 2 samples, the
bottom photo has a bit more of an oil
painted look to it. Subtle change but
a nice effect, in my opinion.

Weekend Words & Angels

Hello friends, happy weekend! I haven't posted in quite some time, so
here I am!! :) I've had a busy week and have worked on a few things.
Still learning my new software and haven't been up to sewing or any
other projects since I lost my computer's drive. So for now I have
been working with what I have left. I sure do miss my pc...it ran
much faster and better than my laptops. But, until I can get it running
again, I am left to work with super slow systems, always freezing up
and acting like a zombie, lol  Slow to do anything. I'll be trying to clean
up the drives so I can function better. I had a lot of work on my pc that
I have lost. Just a word of advice, beware of the "cleaning" software,
it has "cleaned" too much and now the Windows OS is gone &  lastly,
everything on the drive. Major bummer, but, that's life, right?
Sometimes you just have to go with the flow... and carry onward.
Life has a funny and amazing way of putting things in your life, as
well as taking things away... but all in all, it seems to always work
out to be the best thing for yourself at the exact time you need it.
God has a way of taking care of everything we face in our lives and
it can make each of us, a much stronger, wiser and better person.

Have a beautiful weekend, friends.

Blessings, love, hugs and smiles, always,
Debra

Happy Sunday!

The weekend is sure flying by! We have a beautiful, sunny day here
today. I hope the snow melts and we have a longer Spring
this year. Sunshine is getting me in the mood to do more
sewing or something. I may end up working on my book a bit
today... I've been a bit down about my pc crashing... but
I'm thankful I still have my laptop so I can still access my
sites and all.

Below is a sample of one photo I did... I love Monet's art. He's
my favorite, and I wanted to do some photo art in a Monet-ish
sort of way. I love this, what do you think? I have some more
done and I am doing some different styles that I will have in my
new book of art and poetry. Much work to do on it yet!!

Have a lovely, creative and inspiring Sunday!
Love, Debra

Music Time

I will be working on the player tonight... I've noticed
some of the songs are getting an error code now, so
I will be deleting those and adding more... for your
listening pleasure of course... :)  and mine... lol

Wednesday WAAAAAAAAAA

After my thrill the other day, well, things went downhill
from there... :(  I was happily burning my files on disks when
it suddenly froze. I waited for a long time...
and finally decided to cancel the process...
bad choice, as this caused it to lose all the files on the disk
as well as delete my hard drive contents. I tried to retrieve it
somehow, all day yesterday and this morning. The drive can't
be recognized now,  only when I unplug it from the USB port,
then it tells me I have to format the disk drive before I use it.
Major bummer... I had a lot of files to go, yet. Now I'm not sure
if it's a hard drive failure, whether to buy a new Windows
program, a new hard drive, or just buy a new tower... ugh.
When it rains it pours = Murphy's Law is in effect.
Oh well....
So it's February, the month of love... LOVE??
Well, I tend to get all mushy and lovey, during February
especially... lol. I guess it's all the hearts, cupids, flowers and
CHOCOLATE...
Gotta love chocolate!!
Love is such a complicated matter... you can totally be
in love with someone, and they don't even know or
seem to care... love is an ache in the heart. Love
can be so beautiful, wonderful, alive, perfect...
but also so painful. Everyone has been hurt by
someone they love or have loved... I guess that
is inevitable. But why does it have to hurt for so long?
One day, I will smile again... I don't know when,
but I try to, each day. If I had chocolate, I would
smile right now... lol.
Or maybe a new or functioning pc... that would
make me smile BIG!! HA!!

Successful Sunday

Today I was very happy to access my files
located on my crashed hard drive. After many
attempts at getting the thing to boot up, it just
wouldn't open. I thought for sure I would lose
all of my important files, the OS got wiped
out! So, today I was able to remove the hard
drive and attach a special cord from the hard
drive into my laptop to see if I could retrieve
anything. SUCCESS!!! I am now saving all
of my files onto disks... it took all week and
it was looking bleaker and bleaker... what a
great thing to have, that cord. I can't remember
the name, but it works. Now I am burning disks
and removing files from this 1 terabyte hard
drive. After I finish, which will take me days
to do, I will finally be able to reformat the
drive and then put on a new OS, probably
Windows 8. I'm very pleased today... yahoo!!

Hope your day was amazing!!

Friday Frustration and a Quilt of Memories

I dislike pc problems, who doesn't? It's been a frustrating
week. I managed to see an actual drive screen on my pc
lastnight, it took most of the day, today, to just get BACK
to that screen... it is running very, very slow... sadly slow.
It's a nightmare. I have discovered that my entire C drive
is gone, well. most of it, along with my Windows 7...
no operating system to boot the thing up! I tried a program
called Ubuntu, which loads up the pc but I still can't get to
my files which were on the C: drive...and now happen to be
on the D drive for some odd reason... it's best not to use
those "clean up" pc programs, I've learned my lesson...
sometimes they clean it up a little TOO MUCH!!
 Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ...so aggravating!

So, another day of not getting my hard drive to boot...
tomorrow is another day, thank God... I hope
I can do something with it... I've been so patient all week,
trying not to stress out. But I can only keep calm for
so long!!! (tearing hair out)  lol

Actually I cut my hair today... about 3 or more inches off...
it was halfway down my bum and I had begun to start sitting on it...
and not only that, but with winter and the static electricity
in the dry air... it drives me bonkers with all the clinging
it's doing, especially on my winter coat... ugh... no wonder
I hibernate in the winter, besides the bitter cold, I have to deal
with my unruly hair wrestling with my coat over which one
will win the fight to drive me insane!! hahaha...
Oh boy... rant time is over!! lol

So, I haven't been doing too much in the artsy fartsy area...
I drew a little last night...nothing that special so
I won't post it... lol   I've been watching CNN a lot,
or listening, while I work on the pc problems...
maybe that is stressing me out too... oops... rant.

I got a little creative the other night...
I toasted skewered marshmallows on my stove...
does that count??  lol
Maybe this post should have remained un-posted... ha!
Well, that's my update... let me try to find something to post... oh yes!

I found a photo today while searching for a Windows disc...
which I never found. This is a project I worked on years ago.
I am taking a pic of a pic...so  it's not too clear. But here is a quilt
I made special order. All the fabrics used in this except for the
borders and backing were scraps of fabrics that this lady had
in her fabric stash! Most were just tiny pieces, but I ironed out
each piece and cut them in triangles... I designed the quilt on
my computer with EQ5... I scanned all of the fabrics and arranged
them on the screen before I even started sewing it. There were
so many colors and fabrics to use, so it took a lot of time to
prepare, design and finally quilt it. It has some
embroidery done by machine on the border which is
hard to see, but I did a really nice font that I had purchased
for my machine. The photos are all old family photos for this
nice and wonderful lady, Polly. It was a gift for her 90th birthday
from her family. She had passed on not long after but was able to
enjoy it for awhile. Now the family passes it along so each family
member can enjoy it for some time in their homes. The
photos were printed on iron-on transfer paper which I
ironed on to the plain blocks... Everyone loved it and I was
quite proud of it myself. :) It's amazing
what a little scrap of fabric or more... can become!! :)
A treasured heirloom of all the fabric remnants from this
wonderful and beautiful soul... may she rest in peace
with love. She was a wonderful lady, very much
 loved and missed by all.
